Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center (EMPCC) holds their 26th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament, Wednesday June 24th, with a record number of teams, twenty-two.
This year we have dedicated the day to Larry Thoren. Larry was a long time resident of Canton. He was a dedicated teacher and coach, but he was much more than that. He was a man that impacted lives of young people and the community around him. Larry loved the Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care ministry and loved to be part of the Golf Tournament. Larry’s wife Betty was present at the opening ceremony.
EMPCC started in 1919 giving out diapers and other baby supplies. EMPCC now has three centers serving two counties. The Towanda and Canton Centers offer an Earn While You Learn program for parents. The moms and dads are able to participate in individualized parenting classes. As they take the classes they earn Baby Bucks, which they use to “purchase” items from the Baby Boutique, such as clothes, car seats, pack-n-plays or other needs they may have.
