The Friends of the Bradford County Area held their Annual Banquet, May 16th at Alparon Park. Over 400 people attended, with a good time had by all. The evening’s activities included silent auctions, bucket raffles and other games of chance. Pat Burke, from Shamrock Auction, and Ed Pepper, from Peppers Auction, donated their services, along with their expertise and humor to the program, when auctioning off limited edition art prints, historical items, knives, jewelry and of course firearms. |
The committee would like to thank the many local businesses and individuals that helped by either becoming sponsors or donating merchandise.
The goal of the banquet is to raise money, half of which stays within the state and the other half goes to national programs. The money raised helps support events such as youth education; women’s programs; hunting and conservation programs; competitive shooting; training and education safety; law enforcement and public range initiatives. Of these programs, the youth education programs receive approximately 85% of the monies.
Next year’s banquet will be held on April 30, 2016, at Alparon Park,Troy, PA.
