Canton’s Miah Lehman took home a third place finish in the Pennsylvania female wrestling tournament on Sunday, March 8 in Gettysburg.
Lehman finished the weekend 4-1 with four pins to cap off a successful wrestling season.
“It was a good weekend, I had to fight back to place third,” said Lehman. “ I didn’t finish where I had planned but I am happy with my success down there (Gettysburg).
Lehman had considered dropping wrestling all together before the season started but many told her to not quit
“I never thought that I would keep wrestling. I had a lot of people in my corner telling me not to quit,” said Lehman.
Lehman finished the regular season with 10 wins.
“I am happy that I stuck with it.”
Lehman will be a force to watch next season on the mats for the Warriors wrestling squad.
