For the past 24 years, Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital (SSMH) has united business leaders, amateur golfers, volunteers, and golf professionals from all over the tri-state area under one common goal—helping the children of Tioga County stay healthy, active and educated.
Knoxville’s Youth Baseball/Softball Association scored big this year with a $500 donation toward equipment, supplies and upkeep of the fields. The funds were raised during Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital’s Pro-Am Golf Tournament last September and were awarded to local youth health and recreation organizations based on need.

Thanks to outstanding community support, SSMH’s Pro-Am Tournament has raised more than $425,000 over the years to benefit thousands of local children. Proceeds give students the opportunity to pursue healthcare careers on scholarship and encourage kids to be healthy through youth recreational programs. Funds are also utilized for grounds upkeep and to purchase team uniforms and equipment to ensure the programs run safely and effectively.
