Joan Smith-Reese, Executive Director of Animal Care Sanctuary (ACS) is announcing a new member of the leadership team – Jerene Milliken, effective July 13th, 2015.
Jerene is from Williamsport, has been a volunteer for ACS at PetSmart, transporting cats and assisting with events. She is also an adopter, taking home a cat from PetSmart.
She comes with a wide array of experience. She is on the Williamsport School Board, she was Chief of Staff for the #83rd Congressional District and has extensive marketing background with hospice.
She will be joining ACS 4 days per week. She will be one day in Wellsboro, one day in East Smithfield and two days in Williamsport.
Throughout much of the summer she will be in East Smithfield for orientation and learning all about ACS history, programs, goals and vision for the future. Jerene resides in Williamsport with her husband and two dogs and three cats. She has four children.
Animal Care Sanctuary, celebrating its 48th year, is one of the largest “no kill” shelters in the United States and cares for over 500 dogs daily. A second location in Wellsboro was opened in 2011. Having two locations in the state of PA has helped save hundreds of lives as we continue to adopt, spay/neuter, educate and provide a loving atmosphere for the animals who call ACS home.
