Born in 1968, Cynthia is no stranger to the bowling alley. Her parents, John and Jane Phlegar, moved to Troy, PA in 1972 right across from Terrace Lanes. Her mother Jane, grandfather Harry Reynolds, her uncle Paul Reynolds, and her many cousins were avid bowlers, so it would only make sense that Cynthia would be, too.
During Cynthia’s youth, she bowled on various school teams and in tournaments and won many 1st and 2nd place trophies. During her senior year, Cynthia pushed herself to her limits and with a clean sweep - her team took 1st place, she won the female highest average, and she also won the female Senior Outstanding award.

Over her lifetime, Cynthia has had numerous scores in the 500’s and 600’s, and several 700’s. During the 2013 – 2014 bowling season, she ended the year with the highest series for the women, a 700, and carried a 193 average. Cynthia’s highest season average was a 196, her highest series was a 724, and her highest game was a 278.
Besides bowling, Cynthia’s interests include vacationing with family, motorcycle riding, and reading.
Cynthia would like to thank her best friend and husband, Alan Cook, Jr., for his continual encouragement and challenges that keep her on her toes!
Cynthia would also like to thank her fellow bowlers and the Troy Bowling Association for honoring her with this award.
