Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the planning committee for Camp F.L.E.A. (Family Life Enrichment Adventure) has decided to cancel the camp which was initially scheduled for July 15th to the 18th. The committee is now planning to organize a 1-day camp at Camp Brule in Sullivan County on August 12th, which will give children from Bradford and Sullivan Counties an opportunity to get outside and have some fun before school starts. The day camp is open to all children, ages 9 to 12, and will be provided free of charge due to the generous support of individuals, businesses and community groups in our counties.
The day camp will feature a fishing derby, which has become a fixture at Camp F.L.E.A. All campers who participate in the derby will win a prize for their efforts, whether they catch a fish or not, and will take home a fishing rod and reel at the end of the day. More information on the day camp will be provided in upcoming press releases.
This year would have marked the 23rd year of Camp F.L.E.A. and we are saddened that it could not have come off as planned. Parents who are interested in obtaining an application for the 1-day camp are encouraged to contact Bradford County CYS (570) 265-1760 or Sullivan County CYS at (570) 928-0307 for more information.
