On July 14, the Corey Creek Ladies Golf League played "Tee to Green." Players subtracted putts from gross scores, then subtracted 90% of the handicap. Opening ceremonies will begin at 12 noon with the Marine Corps Honor Guard, Zoey Morse singing the National Anthem, and a ceremonial first pitch. Invocation will be given by Matt Wiemeyer. Games will be starting at 8:30 Saturday morning and taking a break for the ceremonies. The LeRoy Sportsman's Association will hold its first Woodchuck Tournament on July 18, 2015. The event will start at legal hunting hours and will run until until 6:00 p.m. on July 18. Check-in will begin at 5:00 p.m. and all woodchucks must be turned in by 6:00 p.m. at Peppers Auction Barn (13850 Route 414 Canton, PA) On July 7, the Corey Creek Ladies Golf League played "Penalties." The team was recognized at the Canton Firemen's Fair: Taryn Acla, Camille McRoberts, Chasity Greene, Sara Saar, Jillaney Hartford, Molly Ward, Marissa Ostrander, Allyson Butcher, Aislyn Williams, Madison Hulbert, Samantha Brackman, Kali Wesneski, Kari Wesneski. Manager is Angie Vought and Coaches Shawn Kulp and Eric McRoberts. ProCare Physical Therapy & Fitness in Troy held their third annual Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament on June 20th. Twelve teams participated in the tournament at Alparon Park and all proceeds went to the ProCare Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a Troy Area High School Senior(s) going into the Physical Therapy or Athletic Training fields. First place was won by “Goose’s Gang,” who donated their winnings back to the scholarship, followed by “Swarthout Skullworks” in second, and “BS’ers” in third. Isaac Havens of Troy won the first annual Home Run Derby, part of the weekend festivities.
