God has a timetable for all events. You can look at the past and you will see God’s hand has been involved. Before any major event you will find God has announced the event would happen. An example of this is the flood and Noah’s preaching the event was coming unless the people repented and turned whole-heartily back to God. The flood came and the whole earth was covered even the highest mountain. Another event which illustrates this is when the prophets warned Israel. Then they were told if they did not repent and turn back to God and did not stop serving idols they would be taken captive into foreign lands as their punishment. It happened just as God had the prophets proclaim it to the Israelites. When God announces something, it is best to pay attention and act accordingly for if you do not you will suffer the consequences.
“When the times will have reached fulfillment” brings to mind several events. The first is when Jesus Christ came to this earth as a baby born of a virgin. It took several centuries before the time was right to bring Jesus Christ into the world. Mankind needed to understand they needed a Savior. The forerunner, John the Baptist, came to prepare the people for the coming of Jesus. Greek had become the common language of the known world. Roman control had provided highways making travel to any part of the Roman Empire easy. The Jewish people were looking for a Savior and the Gentiles were looking for answers to life; knowing their idols would not satisfy their desires. All of these areas and others were setting the stage for the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus came, grew up and at the age of 33 began His ministry; preparing the people for the new covenant, the Church. But before the Church could be established, Jesus had to give His life on the cross of Calvary.
The second event is the return of Jesus Christ to take home the faithful. We do not know the day or hour of Christ’s return, but you should prepare as if it would happen any day since this event could take place at any time. Many of the signs prophesied have taken place and therefore, the time is closer, maybe even in our life time. At the time when this is to happen it is “to bring all things in heaven and on earth together” as one. There are some who try to apply this in such a way where all people would be saved. But God has pointed out through His Word there will be those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and they will be cast out; separated from God for eternity. This will happen on Judgment Day. The faithful will come “under one head, even Christ.” Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. If you are not a part of the Church as it is revealed in the Scripture then you will not be in heaven with Jesus Christ. YOU MUST CONSIDER THIS VERY CAREFULLY FOR YOUR DECISION WILL DECIDE WHERE YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY!!!!!!
