“In accordance with his pleasure and will” does not take away the individual’s opportunity to make their own choices and decisions. From the time God created mankind His desire was for mankind to be with Him. The problem, sin got in the way. God had to punish the sinner for disobeying and the punishment was death.
Paul then wrote, “to the praise of his glorious grace.” As a Christian, you will automatically praise God for what He has done for you through Jesus Christ. The very fact Jesus willingly went to the cross in your place is reason enough to praise God. It just goes to show God did everything possible to provide a way for each individual to overcome sin. It is only through Jesus Christ you can be brought back into the right relationship with God. There is no word in the English language which can fully portray the glory of God. It is beyond words, but the glory of God is revealed through His Son, Jesus Christ. This is grace, GOD'S RICHES AT CHRIST’S EXPENSE. The definition for “grace” is “the gift of God to humankind: the infinite love, mercy, favor, and goodwill shown to humankind by God.” The more you understand what God has provided through Jesus Christ the more you want to praise Him for caring so much about you.
God is a holy God. Therefore, every Christian needs to approach Him in holiness. This is only possible through Jesus Christ for when you are in Christ, Jesus is able to present you before the Father as one without spot or blemish as if you had never sinned. “Which he has freely given us” is the greatest gift you can ever receive. God really wants you back in the right relationship with Him. God was not forced to give you this gift. He freely desires to give this gift to you.
This gift is “freely given us in the One he loves.” God loves His Son, Jesus Christ. Using other words He has highly favored those who belong to His Son. Every one who belongs to His Son will be accepted into heaven. Jesus makes the difference in bringing mankind back into the right relationship with the Father. Jesus freely gave His life so every one who obeys His commands will be with Him. Have you accepted or rejected Jesus? CONSIDER THIS VERY CAREFULLY FOR YOUR ETERNITY DEPENDS ON THE RESULT!!!!!!
