The simplest meaning for the word “grace” is unmerited favor, which is saying an individual did not deserve to receive the blessing but rather should had been punished. God could have said if you sin you are banished from my presence forever. This is the lot for every human being except God loved us so much He provided the way each individual could come back into the right relationship with Him. There was only one way for this to happen and it was through Jesus Christ. There are a lot of different words used to describe “grace”, and they only describe one part for there is not a single word which can bring out all the depth of meaning for this word. The best way I have found to describe “grace” and most likely the closes to its meaning is an acrostic, God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
“Peace” often is considered the absence of war, but it is much more than what meets the eye. The meaning of the Greek word “peace” translated is ‘union’ especially ‘union after separation’. Every individual has been separated from God because of sin. When an individual is reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, he will have an inner peace where he is content even in the midst of turmoil. It is having the peace that passes all understanding. The Scripture reveals “the middle wall of partition” (Ephesians 2:13-15) has been broken down for those who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. When an individual has been cleansed of their sin as a song expresses it, “It is well with my soul”. This is true peace which can only come from God.
Where will you find this “grace” and “peace”? It is “from God our Father”. It is from our Creator, the One who gave us the very breath of life. Ephesians reveals a great deal about the Fatherhood of God. God is very patient with mankind for He desires all to repent and come back to Him as His Word instructs us. It is through “the Lord Jesus Christ”. There is no other name under heaven in which mankind can be saved. Jesus came for that purpose. Jesus must be your “Lord” if you expect to be in heaven. The “Father” gave Jesus Christ this authority. Christ’s earthly name “Jesus” shows His manhood and the title “Christ” shows He is Divine. Or we could say it this way: Jesus is fully man and fully Divine. Therefore, Jesus Christ must be your Lord and Savior if you are to have grace and peace. It is your decision. But remember what ever you decide will make the difference where you will spend eternity. CONSIDER THIS VERY CAREFULLY TO SEE WHERE YOU STAND WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!
