The truth is, we all walk down the street with hidden struggles. Whether it be some personal failings in our character or harsh life circumstances that we are dealing with, there are things going on that others do not see. I can sometimes be short with people when life is weighing me down. How about you? “If they only knew what was going on in my life…” Yet we carry our burdens and shortcomings, and like a pant leg rolled down over a hidden prosthetic, very few see them.
In honor of the late Yogi Berra… “Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.” “A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.” “The future ain't what it used to be.” ‘When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.” “Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.” “ It’s like déjà vu all over again.” “I’d give my left arm to be ambidextrous.” And finally, ” Always go to other people’s funerals, otherwise they won’t come to yours.”
