Although the trip was planned for several weeks I still managed to forget two of the medicines I take daily. One of them is quite important so after a couple of phone calls I had a partial refill sent to a pharmacy only a few blocks away from where we were. The young lady pharmacist spent about an hour on the phone and computer with my insurance carrier and doctor. She was very patient and competent.
The trip home included a 2 1/2 hour nap near Wheeling, WV. That's approximately half-way. I managed to get 30.9 miles per gallon at a bit over the posted limit so when Cindy took her shift she bragged about almost 32. She drove the last 75 miles at 45 to 50 mph.
Upon our arrival in Canton my first stop was at the drug store for a bunch of "better" pills that were prescribed by my doctor. The pain from poly-neuropathy is now at least tolerable.
Saturday morning we took advantage of the breakfast up at the church. At 8:15 there was a grand total of four of us - two in the kitchen and the two of us. I have never been able to figure out why more folks don't attend. this is for the community and it is free.
Sunday we had a scheduled meeting in Whitneyville at the fairgrounds so we left home early and ran over to Wellsboro to visit grandson Andy and his family. The meeting was filled with whining, bickering and the usual good-natured banter that makes these meetings fun.
