Thank you once again you our good neighbor Kenny for cutting the grass at the abandoned Rich Way property. If not for his efforts the place would reflect badly on the whole street. This will be the second summer a few, very few, of us have taken care of the grass-cutting chores for this property.
We chose Tuesday the 28th to visit the fair as I was to participate in the tractor parade anyway. It seemed a good opportunity to check out a few other attractions. The heat while waiting in line for the parade was extreme and when someone, I guess an official of some sort, informed us we would pass the grandstands twice, you could hear the moan - whether from drivers or the tractors - maybe both; but we got through it.
The walk from tractor row back to the tent provided was rough. After resting awhile we moved to the kangaroo show and all I can tell you about it is I'm glad we didn't have to pay for it! From there over to observe the hypnotist, then onto the car and home.
After a couple of days to recover from the fair we traveled to Addison, NY to the home of Cindy's older brother David and their family's annual reunion. There was a good-sized group on hand so visiting and a lot of catching-up was a highlight of the day plus plenty of good food.
Our son-in-law Rod is a delivery driver with UPS and after twenty-plus years you can imagine the stories he could tell. The latest was about being actually attacked by a pet rooster which sent him back into the truck; and then the next day he was confined to the truck by a skunk. I don't know if either delivery was made.
I also had a big visit with former Troy Police Chief Wes VanZile. He is married to my brother-in-law's sister Pat and I am married to his sister-in-law's sister so as we wondered whether or not we were any relation at all we decided to think it over and meet again next year for further discussion.
Now I want to begin this next part by stating that I have nothing against lions. In fact I think they are kinda neat; however I have a lot more concern for a baby that because of Planned Parenthood's parts selling business will never be born. Agree with me or not - I really don't care, but apparently the news cares more about the lion and the dentist than the market for baby parts.
Now, for the "I wonder why" department. I wonder why when Hillary Clinton said, "When we left the White House we were dead broke," then reveal financial records that show paying taxes in the amount of 43 million dollars. $43 million. And how can she justify using a private jet that uses 347 gallons of fuel per hour? And the biggest of all. Why is she still running?
