I think but I'm not certain that another neighbor may have suffered a mishap that caused a rollback truck to take away a nearly new auto. If these people would spend a little more time at home, I could call and confirm my suspicions.
Bottom line, I had to find another carrier for my supplemental coverage and part D prescriptions. Probably the real reason they moved out was they were making some money but not enough so let's cut our losses and ignore the people who depend on us. We all know how that feels.
My agent called us a couple of months ago, made an appointment, came and spent a lot of time explaining a plan. Very close to the ones we will be losing.
The point I'm getting around to is the fact that a couple of the experts at the Canton Chatterbox "save the world table" have told me I will have to pay a substantial deductible before the insurance takes over. I repeatedly told the "pair of experts" there was no deductible with my plan but all I heard was oh no you are wrong, and so and so said so."
I knew better so when one of them asked if I was willing to wager $5.00 I immediately grabbed his hand. Then rushed home to highlight four places where it clearly states this plan has no deductible. By the time you read this I will be $5.00 richer.
Now, as I mentioned last week Washington and the folks in it provide plenty of "news." I have a few questions.
If Al Sharpton owes millions in taxes why is he a frequent guest at the White House? Has anyone asked the folks in Buffalo how they feel about climate change? How about asking residents in Lopez about global warming. Nine degrees last week. Charles Manson is about to marry a girl more than half a century younger than he is. The question here is very simple, why?
I can now state truthfully that my neighbor did indeed damage her nearly new car. When I called to inquire she said "yes I got my buck early."
We attended another auction last Sunday only because a lot of the items being sold are similar to my hodge-podge of collections. I have thought many times about letting some of my valuable things go to someone who needs them, so I wanted to check the market so to speak.
Well, it didn't take long to convince me that the market is pretty poor so as long as the prices were very reasonable, meaning "cheap", I brought home a few boxes of goodies for little money. I also have he satisfaction of knowing that once again I was not the biggest spender.
Now just a few words about "Black Friday." I think I'll pass. The news says 140 million people will be participating in this mayhem. And of course about half of them will be wielding a cell phone in one hand and several store flyers and coupons in the other. No thank you.
Sunday evening we took part in a surprise birthday party for my eldest daughter at her home. This was all set up by Kristi (her daughter-in-law). We pulled it off! She didn't have a clue.
