The first one has two versions, getting the same results. One has slightly less sugar. The other works well also. The Chef has made them with grandchildren and they both had a good time.
Monster Mouth (Sugar)
1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated
peanut butter cookies (or you
can make your own). I used
already made (surprise!)
3/4 Cup hazelnut spread with
cocoa
1 Cup miniature marshmallows
Heat oven to 350°F. Shape dough into 16 balls. On un-greased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart.
Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes;
Spread hazelnut spread on bottom of each cookie; cut each cookie crosswise in half.
For each “mouth,” press 4 to 5 marshmallows into hazelnut spread along rounded edge of 1 cookie half. Top with second cookie half, bottom side down; gently press together, producing a big smile.
**************
A healthier version of the Mouth is to substitute the cookie for a slice of your favorite apple. You can also use peanut butter (check for allergies) spread on apple or use chocolate. I use Hershey's; no red dye in them.
Witch's Brooms
These may be not be suitable for school, due to the use of peanut butter. Allergies.
Several pretzel sticks
Peanut Butter Cups (miniature)
Again I use Reese's, no red dye
All you have to do is stick one of the pretzel sticks into a miniature peanut butter cup.
Note: Be careful. Pressing too hard breaks the peanut butter cup. But children can still make it work and the finished products are adorable.
Bones
To make thirty "bones" you will need:
60 miniature marshmallows
30 Pretzel sticks
1 pound of white melting
chocolate
Place a marshmallow on each end of the pretzel stick. It looks like a dumb bell, but smaller. You could use large marshmallows with a pretzel rod also for a centerpiece.
Next melt white chocolate in glass and oven safe cup a little at a time.
Cover the "pretzel bones" with the white chocolate and repeat until you are finished
After the harden, place them in bags for a bag of bones treat, or place them in a bowel.
Spooky Spider Snack
We made spiders using 1 plum, 12 pretzel sticks, edible eyes, and a big hand full of dark grapes.
Poke 3 holes on each side of plum with knife. Take 6 pretzel sticks and push them into the holes.
Poke a hole on the ends of the grapes and slide them onto the pretzel sticks leaving just a bit of the pretzel showing.
Fill up the other pretzel sticks with grapes and poke a hole on the end grape with the kitchen knife. Press that onto the end of the pretzel that is showing.
Stick on the edible eyes with cream cheese (you could use peanut butter) and that's it!
You could also do this snack by pressing raisins on the pretzel sticks instead of using grapes. Use your imagination.

The last recipe is for Acorns. It can be used all during the fall and even for Thanksgiving. It takes almost no time and again - quality time spent with children.
Acorns
Hershey kisses (large)
Hershey chips (the ones used for
making cookies)
Vanilla wafers (I used the boxed
kind off the grocery shelves, but
you could make small sugar
cookies instead)
Melting chocolate
It's more in the construction than anything.
Place the large kiss on the flat part of the cookie with melting chocolate.
Do the same with the chip on top and it is done.
You may use any flavor of candy you wish, but again no allergies to worry about.
