Dog and Cat Biscuits
2 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup powdered skim milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
flavoring: Meat drippings, broth or
water from canned tuna
(enough to make a stiff dough)
Combine flour, powdered milk and garlic powder in medium sized bowl. Add beaten egg, flavoring and mix well with hands. Dough should be very stiff. If necessary add more flavoring.
On a well-floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with shaped cookie cutters of your choice. Place biscuits on cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
Chef note: omit the garlic for cats

1 1/2 Cup rolled oats
1/4 Cup vegetable oil
1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
1/2 Cup tuna oil, chicken broth or
beef bouillon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients into dough. Dust hands with flour and form small, 1/2-inch thick, round biscuits. Set on greased cookie sheet. Bake 30 minutes or until biscuits are slightly browned. Cool before serving.
Cheese Bone Cookies For Dogs
2 Cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1-1/4 Cups shredded cheddar
cheese
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 Cup vegetable oil
4 to 5 Tbsps. water
Preheat over to 400 degrees. Make a cardboard pattern of a dog bone, 4" long, or use a dog bone cookie cutter or trace a store-bought dog biscuit.
Combine flour, cheese, garlic, and vegetable oil in container of food processor. Cover; while until mixture is consistency of course meal.
With machine running, slowly add water until mixture forms a ball. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces.
Roll out each piece to 1/2" thickness. Cut out bones.
Transfer to ungreased cookie sheet. Do not re-roll scraps. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until bottom of cookies are lightly browned. Carefully transfer bones to wire rack to cool. Refrigerate in airtight container. Makes 12-4" cookie bones.
Homemade Diabetic Dog Treats
1/2 Cup whole wheat flour
2 eggs
1 1/2 Cup beef liver, chopped
Place everything in a food processor and mix or mix chopped liver, eggs and flour in a bowl (make sure the liver is well chopped). Bake on a parchment paper lined jelly roll pan at 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until the center is set. Cool and cut with a pizza cutter into pieces. It will be sponge like. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
2 Ingredient Dog Treats Recipe
2 Cups whole wheat flour (or oats
ground in a food processor to a
flour)
2 (4 oz.) jars of baby food – beef,
chicken, turkey, sweet potato, carrots, fruit
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients together and add extra flour or water to make firm dough. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters or a pizza cutter. Place 1/2 inch apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. Store in a paper bag. An air tight container will make them soft.

Fruit & Vegetable Dog Treats
1 sweet potato, cooked
1 banana
1 cup carrots, minced
1/2 cup applesauce
2 cups white or whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup water
Mash sweet potato and banana together well. Add the rest of the ingredients. Roll out on a floured board 1/8 inch thick. With a pizza cutter, cut into strips and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Store in a refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
