We celebrated my birthday with breakfast at Moose's Munchies with Wayne and Claire and later lunch also at Moose's Munchies with grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Scott and Maggie.
Then we took a ride up over the mountain to look at the leaves with a short stop at the home of the newlyweds, Kate and Chance. Then on over the mountain to see more leaves. However, they aren't quite at their prettiest yet.
I heard many other comments about the beautiful day on Sunday. Great for the Apple and Cheese Festival and the Fall Fling and many other outdoor events. Hope it made up for the rainy day on Saturday.
Also a reminder to all interested the flu shot clinic is next week on the 13th.
Halloween candy is needed for trick or treat night, October 31. Plans are to bag it up on Thursday the 29th. It may be given to any tenant officer.
Do you remember all the fun we used to have while trick or treating when we were young?
When we lived out in the country we would decorate a little outside and looked forward to the kids coming for treats as well as Halloween parties at the Grange and other places when Wayne and Linda were young and at home.
Now it's set out in the community room and watch them come in for treats. When I was younger we used to have fun going around the neighborhood doing tricks before the idea of trick or treat was thought of. Usually the neighbors knew who was to blame as there was only the Pratt boys and Rodger boys who were old enough to do some of the things we did.
Richard had the Sunday night church service this week with a message from Philippians Chapter 3: "Pressing on toward the high mark of Jesus Christ and Eternity."
