Yesterday, Joyce had to go to Williamsport to see her eye doctor. On the way home, we took the long way on up Rt. 15 through Steam Valley and onto Mansfield just to see the leaves. Some, on the hills are already quiet pretty. In another week they should be beautiful.
Talking about leaves reminded me when I was back in grade school. We used to have a leaf collection time every year to see who could come up with the most leaves and some of those collections were really beautiful with lots of leaves. Most of the time they were used to decorate the school rooms in the old country schools.
The pot luck dinner last week was pretty well attended with lots of delicious dishes, cookies and cakes.
Birthday wishes go out to Richard Pratt, Oct. 4th; Marcello (Shorty) Mortez, Oct. 8th; and James Hawthorne, Oct. 9th.
Richard had the Sunday night church service this week with a message from Philippians 2:12-187 "Hold fast to the faith and shine as a light unto the world." Shirley Young played the piano.
