A pretty nice weekend for campers and those having picnics as well as sports.
As I look back over many years of camping and picnicking I can't remember very many Labor Day weekends when we got all three days of sunshine and dry.
If you have allergies now is not a good time to be riding around on mountain roads especially where there is field after field of goldenrod.
Now is a good time to wish the football, soccer, cross country, and volleyball teams, and band members all a successful season and enjoyment as well. Good luck to all.
Tenants are reminded that the monthly tenant meetings start up for the fall season Monday, September 14 at 7 p.m. Come out and help plan fall programs, etc.
Nancy Jennings and family had a party in the community room, Sunday afternoon.
Richard had the Sunday night service this week with a message from Philippians chapter 1, based on verse 21 "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."
Shirley Young played the piano.
Richard also thanked those attending for their support of the ministry in Hillcrest, Sunday nights. This past Sunday night marked the second anniversary of the starting up of Sunday night services. One more a hand of applause was also given to Shirley Young who volunteers her time and talent almost every Sunday to come and play for the services. They really appreciate it Shirley. Thank you very much.
Soon we will seeing the pretty fall leaves and lots of apples.
The apple tree out here in the courtyard that was trimmed way back last spring is loaded with apples so are all the orchard trees along the road where you can see them.
Enjoy fall while you can because we know what season comes next.
