I guess by the sounds of the paper we didn't make it down, but quite a few from Hillcrest did. Congratulations to Glenda Slater for taking second place with her quilting piece, she entered at the fair. Brings back many memories of when we were younger of going to the fair sometimes two or three times when Wayne and Linda were growing up and in later years with the grandsons trying to keep up with them.
Birthday wishes go out to John Jaquith on the 10th of August.
Joyce and I went to my 64th class reunion on Tuesday. Seems good to see many of your old classmates again. Unfortunately they are getting fewer with 40 classmates already deceased.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Helen Carnwright in her passing. She was a former sister-in-law and good friend back in school days as well.
The gardens are doing great with some enjoying the products of them already.

Richard had the Sunday night service this week with a message from Luke 15: 11-24, The Prodigal Son. Shirley Young played the piano.
