The gardens and flower beds are beginning to show signs of needing rain. The early spring flowers are gone and the Iris and many other summer flowers are soon going to be in bloom.
It is hard to realize that Memorial Day is only two weeks away.
Many of the residents spent Mother's Day with family and friends. We hope every mother had a beautiful happy Mother's Day.
Saturday, Joyce and I celebrated Mother's Day and also son Wayne's birthday which come on or close to Mother's Day every year with son Wayne and daughter-in-law, Claire at breakfast at Moose's Munchies and later in the day they came up to the apartment with flowers for Joyce.
Friday was Byron Gowin's last day of work before his hip surgery. The Tenant Association treated him to a farewell party with cake, cookies, and punch. Also lots of best wishes for his upcoming operation and a speedy recovery.

A program will be presented by the Canton Music Club on May 18th. Watch bulletin board for the time.
The May pot luck dinner is Saturday, May 23rd at 12 noon in the community room.
Also I noticed on the bulletin board that the farmer's market food vouchers will be given out her at Hillcrest, June 18th from 9:00 to 1:30 p.m.
The Sunday night service this week was led by Pastor John Lattimer from the Faith Baptist Church from Canton with lots of traditional hymns. Richard read the song "M is for Mother. A word that means a lot to me" and the pastor had a wonderful message from the book of Ruth entitled "Naomi, the Godly Mother."
