The gardeners are at work trying to make the gardens nice. We noticed some of the lawn mowers are at work as well.
Last Wednesday, we had a well attended fire meeting with Cindy Roupp, Jim Bailey, and Byron Gowin.
We are very sorry to hear Byron is going to leave us again for hip replacement. We want to wish him the best with his surgery and a speedy recovery.
Joyce and I want to say thank you to all of our friends for their many expressions of sympathy and best wishes in the loss of our older brother Miles.
A very special thank you to our church, the Faith Baptist Church for their support and the gift of eight Gideon Bibles in memory of Miles.
Also a very special thank you to Jasper Smith for helping me with the memorial service.
Thank you to all who attended the service.
After the service, the Pratt family went to the Iron Skillet in Sylvania for supper. Attending were: Richard and Joyce Pratt, Gerald and Marjorie Pratt, Dorothy and Larry Stone, Paul and Patty Pratt with daughter, Sharon and son Stephen.
Richard had the Sunday evening service this week with a message from Romans 8 verses 28-32, also 38-39. The key verse being 31. "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
