The grass is beginning to green up. Maybe spring is finally here.
Our grandson Scott says the sap has been running good, really keeping him busy making syrup.
Last Friday was exciting. They were testing the fire alarms and they surprised everyone with a fire drill.
We were saddened to hear of the death of Doris Stone, another former resident of Hillcrest. Sincere sympathies are extended to all of her family.
Special get well wishes and prayers go to all who are suffering spring colds, etc.
This week in the absence of Pastor John Lattimer Richard Pratt and John Shaffer combined to have the Sunday evening service. John led some beautiful singing of many of the great old hymns, followed by a very interesting song history of the hymn, Who Is On The Lord's Side? Richard had a message from II Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people will humble themselves and pray then will I hear from heaven." The service closed with "How Great Thou Art!" and John led in the Lord's Prayer.
Hope everyone can enjoy the beautiful spring days when we have them as well as the beautiful spring flowers.
Many of our residents were surprised this past week by our visitor - a cute little black and white striped "pussy cat." Thankfully no one disturbed it so it didn't leave its calling card!
