On July 23rd, Robin Vanvalkenburg will be here again with the farmer's market vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables for those who didn't get one before The Senior -Night -Out scheduled for the 25th is canceled and we will go to breakfast at the Wellsburg Diner at 9 a.m. on July 22nd instead.
The Bradford County Manor picnic will be August 20th which is also the date for our Wells Township picnic Sign-up sheets will be posted to see which place members are interested in attending.
A yearly survey sheet from the Agency for Aging was given each member to get feedback on satisfaction of present formats and for suggestions on how to improve.
Several members are sick or are recovering. These included Jim Lundgren who is in the Arnot Ogden Hospital and LaVere Updike who is recovering from a foot operation. A well known member of our community passed away, Captain Eugene Wilbur. He was a prisoner of war for many years in VietNam.
Mary also read an article about the many events which took place in past Julys. Next week we will have a fire drill. We also have a change in the menu from sweet and sour chicken to ham salad sandwiches.
Diane Sindoni from the Bradford County Manor called bingo. Winners who received snack items she furnished were: Paul and Mavis White, Marge Ulmer, Ethel Thorpe, Beverly Clewell, Sylvia Roy. Lois Harper, and Phyllis Ames.
The meeting closed with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the Blessing on the lunch by Ray MacAuslan. The menu was breaded fish, lemon pepper broccoli, tomatoes and baked bread egg custard.
