Helen Antes entertained some of the coffee klatch with stories of her recent cruise to London and Paris with her son and daughter-in-law.
Robin Vanvalkenburg was here with the vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables. She gave each member a list of the places that honor them.
A few of the members brought pictures of themselves on their wedding day and all tried to guess who they were. It was difficult as people change so much as they age. The couples were LeVere and Louise Updike, Claire and Helen Mickley, Priscilla Jackson-Six and her late husband, and Laurie Scott with her husband.
Many brought snacks to be sold by the firemen at Super Bingo next Sunday. Mary reminded us that it was the last day to sign up for the Senior Picnic at Alparon Park on June 25th.
The Bradford County Manor will be holding their Spring Fling sale this Saturday, June 13th.
We held the monthly raffle and winners for that were: Doris Knapp, Priscilla Jackson-Six, Lois Harper, Lauri Scott, Lynn Maynard, Ken Shrieve, Ethel Thorp and Jackie Woughter.
Following the raffle, Mary read several articles. One was Wedding Stories from the Movies, What to Take for a Headache, an article entitle If with a surprise ending, and one on Flag Day.
Next week we will be honoring Fathers for Father's Day. It will also be the first day of Summer on June 21st.
We recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord's Prayer. The menu for today was lemon pepper fish, noodles, stewed tomatoes, whole grain bread and a banana.
