There was a pretty good turnout for the Thursday Coffee Hour this past week. If I counted correctly, there were eight folks there.
Jeannette May's daughter Becky and Dr. Scott, along with their son, Clint are in the area visiting family for a while. They parked their beautiful motor coach at Barry and Barb Matthews' home. I had a chance to see it on Sunday. It was awesome with all the comforts of home and then some. All you do is push buttons and magic happens. Of course you need to know which ones to push. It was good to see them all.
I joined my sister Jeannette and her family for a trip to PA Grand Canyon to view the fall foliage. They also checked out some of the campgrounds in the area.
We had stopped in Blossburg on the way as there was a fall festival going on there. When returning home we stopped at the famous Wellsboro diner for a late lunch. It was a great day of fun and we enjoyed it.
Sunday evening, a group from "The Ridge", Arlene Quail, Roxie Holmes, LaVonne McNett, and Carol Brown attended the hymn sing at the Grover Church of Christ. Carol commented that it was fantastic! They all had a wonderful time.
Kathy Temple and her sister Bonnie Vanemon spent the weekend showing their wood crafts at the Burlington Apple Festival. Kathy commented on what beautiful weather they had both days, after the rainy Friday. They had a fair weekend Kathy said and are looking forward to being inside with their crafts in Troy next Saturday.
I enjoyed my visit with Jessy Herman this morning. Jessy said her niece Julie Parker visited her on Friday and that her son Jim Herman came to see her on Sunday.
Frances Kobbe said that her daughter, Carol Bastion has lunch with her during the week and on Friday she brought her Chinese food for a change of pace.
Wednesday, this last week, after some appointments in Troy, my sister and I stopped to see our sister Pauline Clark in Granville Center and then went onto meet her new little great granddaughter Rachel Clark and see her parents Christopher and Heather Clark. We all went on to Amy and David DeCristo's home so Pauline could meet my great great granddaughter, Ava Marie who is two months old already. Ava's mother Kaitlyn was visiting her family for the week.
Jim and Sue Tillotson came ot see his mother Charlotte Tillotson, Saturday and had lunch with her while here. I see Charlotte's lovely daughter Faye Pepper here quite often also.
