I did pick up a few news items, although it has been rather quiet around here this past week.
There were ten residents at the Thursday Coffee Chat Time. It's good to have a table or two full. I actually was able to get there this last week and always enjoy the social time.
Jeannette May visited her granddaughter, Jacky Thompson in Roaring Branch, Sunday afternoon.
Arlene Quail said that she had a surprise visit from her daughters, Julie and Susie on Tuesday this last week.
On Saturday, Arlene reported that she attended the wedding of her grandson Dain Leljedal in LaPorte and immediately after attended the reception which was held at the Forksville Fair grounds.
Irma Earley enjoyed visiting with her grandson, Craig from Denver, CO and her great granddaughter, Olivia Shedden, who resides in Virginia, Saturday.
After church services on Sunday, Irma attended a surprise birthday party for Dave Shedden and Harry Fisher at the church. They are both celebrating their 75th birthdays.
Kathy Temple and her sister Bonnie Vanemon spent another busy weekend working on their wood crafts.
They took a break, Sunday evening to do some shopping in Mansfield at WalMart and to have some dinner.
Kathie said they had a very productive weekend as they have several projects completed and assembled.
Carol Brown reported that she attended her granddaughter Haylee's volleyball game, Sunday. She noted that Haylee plays on B team and they all played well. Won 2-0 against Troy.
Carol commented that all the games were exciting to watch and she never knew for sure who would win and said for them to keep up the great team work.
Betty Lapitan and daughter Esther visited Jessie Herman on Tuesday and brought her some nice tomatoes.
On Saturday Kathy Dennis and Jessie's grandson, David Herman called on her.
Edward Kobbe was here to set up a new computer for his mother Frances Kobbe on Wednesday of this last week, and her son, Richard and Barb Kobbe came Saturday and brought her a new battery for her phone.
My granddaughter, Kelsey Lepper Hicks, Alivia and Austin stopped in for a while, Monday afternoon and brought me some eggs.
