I've been around looking for news this bright Monday morning. It's rather scarce today.
There was an item in the newsbox saying that there were six residents at the popular coffee chat hour on Thursday. I missed it this time. I'll try to make it on Thursday this week. It's always a pleasant social time.
Jeannette May and I attended a baby shower at St. Michael's Church Hall for Lara Ciaccio on Saturday. Lara's sister-in-law, Malinda Ciaccio was hostess at the event with help from other family members.
Lara received many nice gifts for the baby and it was an enjoyable time with some games and social time. A lovely luncheon was provided for guests immediately following the shower.
I joined some friends of my family upstairs in the church after the shower to attend the Baptism of my new great great granddaughter Ava Marie DeCristo Cooney. I then headed to LeRoy with my granddaughter, Kelsey Lepper Hicks and little Alivia to attend a reception to celebrate baby Ava Marie at the home of her grandparents, David and Amy DeCristo.
Jeannette May went to her granddaughter Jackie and John Thompson's home after the shower for a picnic with her family. She said it was a fun afternoon with lots of good food, games, watching the little ones and catching up on the happenings of the grown children.
The weather cooperated so it was a perfect weekend for all the events.
Irma Earley went with her daughter, Debbie Elliot to visit Irma's brother, Paul Machmer, Sr., at Twin Oaks this last Friday.
On Sunday, Irma enjoyed the ride to Sylvania with her daughter Maxine and Dave Shedden for lunch at the Iron Skillet.
Kathy Temple wrote that she and her sister Bonnie Vanemon spent a busy weekend working on their crafts at Bonnie's home.
Sunday evening, Bonnie's husband Andy took them out for supper at the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant.
Mary Turner said that she was at her sister Trudy Moyer's home for lunch on Sunday.
Clara, Will, and Amy Rusk called on Jessie Herman, Saturday.
Frances Kobbe reported that she rode with her daughter Carol Bastion when Carol took her granddaughters Sofia and Dreste to Williamsport to meet their mother Stephany Rutty. Frances said the girls had been visiting their grandparents Carol and Steve Bastion for a while.
