Charlotte Tillotson wrote that they had a good turnout for their family reunion and celebration of Brad and Faye Pepper's 50th wedding anniversary at Mt. Pisgah State Park, Saturday. It was a great day with 52 family members in attendance she said.
Jeannette May and I just have to thank Brad Pepper for the wonderful "green" lettuce and Swiss Chard he shared with us last week. It's so so good!
I counted the folks at Thursday Coffee Hour, but forgot. iI doesn't matter I guess. The table was full and everyone was enjoying LaVonne McNett's coffee chat time. We all thank her for keeping it going.
Wednesday, the Recreation Director from Bradford County Manor was doing handwaxing here on "The Ridge". A number of residents took advantage of that event.
Jeannette May's granddaughteer Jacky Thompson with her boys, Teyton and Tommy took her to Elmira to an appointment, Wednesday. Jeannette said they stopped for lunch on the return home and she really enjoyed the time spent with all of them.
Arlene Quail's daughter, Susie Quail was here to visit her Monday when I stopped in earlier.
Irma Earley recently attended a picnic at the home of Dave and Maxine Shedden to meet and greet Olivia Shedden's boy friend, Rofa from Spain.
Irma's daughters, Maxine Shedden and Debbie Elliot took her to Granville, Friday to visit her brother, Paul Machmer Sr. at Twin Oaks. While there they visited with Paul's daughter Susie and her husband Joe Lander.
After attending church services on Sunday, Irma enjoyed having lunch at the Iron Skillet with Maxine and Dave Shedden in Sylvania.

Jeannette May and myself had a fun afternoon playing basket bingo at St. Michael's Church Hall, Saturday. We didn't win, but it was still a good time.
In the evening we went with Dann and Wendy Lepper to a party in Columbia Crossroads at Nan Haven's beautiful horse barn (stable?) It was good to see all the Oldroyd's and Havens. There was lots of good food, also music by the McNetts. The rain dampened things somewhat, but there was some time for some good old fashioned square dancing before the band was rained out.
With help from my sister Jeannette we made Father's Day breakfast for Ralph and Dann and Wendy Lepper after Mass, Sunday. Jeannette and I are getting pretty good at working together in this little kitchen.
A poem from Carol Cole:
Choose to Be a Witness
Walk with Jesus at your side;
Open your heart to God's word,
And let His spirit be your guide
I'm coming soon to claim you.
Everyone I call my own will leave
This world of sorrow and finally
Go Home!
