Seems good to have some milder weather at least for a while, and also that the wind isn't trying to blow us off "The Ridge."
I've been out and about here trying to find out what's going on here. I didn't see many folks around, but I did meet up with La- Vonne McNett when she came in.
LaVonne said that she was at Marcia Wilson's home for a turkey supper on Tuesday and that it was just good to have some time to visit.
On Thursday, LaVonne, along with Marge Morse and Cindy Walton had breakfast together at Kelley's Creekside Restaurant. They had some holiday visiting to do, she said.
The residents here appreciated the beautiful basket of fruit and goodies brought to us by the Canton American Legion Auxiliary yesterday (Sunday). Everyone here wants to thank them for their thoughtfulness.
Pauline Watts told me that seven residents attended the coffee hour and social time on Thursday this past week.
Saturday evening I attended a party at Scott and Marla Oldroyd's home in Troy with Dann and Wendy Lepper. The event was a thank you from the parents of Marcus and Jessy Oldroyd for all who helped make their wedding so extra special.
After Mass, Sunday, the congregation at St. Michael's Church enjoyed breakfast provided to them by the Knights of Columbus. Hunters in the area and other guests were also invited to join them.
Irma Earley and her daughter, Debbie Elliot visited Irma's brother Paul Machmer Sr. at Twin Oaks on Friday. Irma Earley, with her daughter Maxine and Dave Shedden enjoyed having lunch at the Iron Skillet Restaurant in Sylvania on Sunday.
Thanks to all who gave me some news for the column this week. When there is an early deadline, it's difficult to see everyone.
I've noticed more folks playing cards in the community room, lately. Its' good to see, probably because the weather is keeping them inside.
It's like spring outside today. I expect to see more people outside today taking advantage of the spring like day. Even the little pansy is perking up again. It's been pretty droopy since the frigid temperatures we had.
