Last weekend was Old Timers in East Smithfield. Saw a lot of people who I have not seen in a year.
The Sunday was the Galilean service at the lake. A very good turn out by all three churches and lake friends.
Monday, Earl Smith's three cousins Peter and Dee and Jimmy Schnitzle came for a visit from up state New York. Earl has not seen them for over 30 years.
Then Ruth Lee came down and they all went to Ted Lee's, then out to dinner. They are related to Ted, Bill and Ruth, also.
Summer is coming to a close. "Flares Night" will be held Sunday, September 6 at dusk at the lake.
Over the weekend, Carleen Austin, Shirley Greenough, Jr., Louise O'Hara, Pam Havens, and two friends Sandy and Bonnie went on a bus trip to Niagara Falls. They toured the falls, went on the Maid of the Mist boat ride; shopped, then came home. They all had a good time.
Tim Leonard Rod and Gun Club's annual yard sale is August 28, 8:30-2 and Aug. 29, 8:30 to noon.
People on the get well list are Terren Smith who will be going to the cardiologist on Friday. So pray for my heart. Also Neil McDonald is coming along well with his pacemaker.

A lot of schools start this week. Watch out for little rug rats getting on and off the bus. Have a good week.
