Rural Brotherhood is this Thursday the 15th hosted by the Ogdensburg Church, starting at 7pm. All are welcome.
I heard and saw several flocks of geese heading south this past weekend – winter is certainly on its way.
I’m in hopes I’ll have some good, positive news to report back to you folks next week following Ron’s and my trip to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for consultation regarding help for his disconnected collarbone.
The picnic preview Friday early evening was very well attended with folks enjoying the burgers etc. and watching the 20 horses led out and talked about their lineage.
For Ron and me, it seemed to be the end of a legacy. However, we are ever so grateful to Tom for allowing us to be involved in it for so long. We will remember it always. Also – NEVER SAY NEVER! His granddaughter Olivia bought one of the horses! Perhaps it’s NOT the end of a legacy…
What gorgeous weather we’ve had the past couple of days. Folks came in the shoe store saying they loved their trip from Wellsboro, or Wyalusing, or Elmira, or Towanda, or wherever, and “leaf peeping” is at its finest. It certainly is worth looking at in this area. I also heard the television weatherman predict a possible frost this coming weekend. Our vegetable garden is all put to bed but I was in hopes of trying my hand at wintering over a few geraniums and a couple pots of coleus by bringing them inside. And also, to try and save my two beautiful potted mums by planting them in the flower garden and mulching them real well. It’s worth a try – they’re really great looking flowers.

Quote by Martin Luther: “God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees, and flowers, and clouds, and stars.”
Food for thought: You can’t act like a skunk without someone getting wind of it.
