Also discussed was the readiness of the transportation schedules which seem to be going along smoothly; discussion of raising the per day for RN and lPN nurses. It is possible that the board will vote to increase the per day amounts to $175 for RNs' and $125 for LPNs.
It is possible that with the kindergarten enrollment exceeding what was projected, a new kindergarten teacher will be hired. The district likes to keep the classroom size of kindergarten at 18 to 20 students. If the enrollment stays the same, it would mean two or three of the four classrooms each would have 22 or 23 students.
Student handbooks will be given out in two sessions for parents and students on August 18 at 1 and 6 p.m.
The book will be discussed and the students will be introduced to Good Citizenship behavior. After they rejoin, they all will learn abut cyber security since the students will have their own tablets.
On August 19 Richard Gurber will speak from 9-10 am.
