At the regular monthly meeting of the Troy School Board, one of the voting items on the agenda was accepting the resignation of Susan Jackson as Transportation Director.
Several of the board members voted no, knowing that nothing could be done to prevent it, but as an expression of regret on her retirement and thankfulness for a job well done.
Other items voted on included accepting the resignations of Lyle Mattocks as girls' soccer assistant and girls' softball assistant coach; Linda Halter, 19.75 hr./week Casual Cafeteria employee; and Daniel Schwanger, Music teacher and Band Director.
The board voted to pay the bills.

It was noted that $15,000 was placed in the budget for new football uniforms.
Bonnie Bixby, Food Manager, discussed the increase of 5¢ for the Elementary Lunches, and Jr.Sr. Lunches. The elementary lunch now will be $2.15 while the Jr. Sr. Lunches will increased to $2.40.
Mrs. Bixby also gave the formula by which this amount was selected.
The board also was told that most of the school districts in the area are now managed by private food services. Towanda and Troy are the only ones who operate their food service in-house. Under General Board discussion, it was decided to form a committee to evaluate Superintendent Charles Young and work on a new contract for him.
Mrs. Fox, Mr. Morgan and Mr. Hansell,will sit on the committee.
Mrs. Nauta asked why the students had to come back for only the one hour on the last day of school. This is in order to meet the state mandate number of instructional days. The explanation was satisfactory to her and to Mr. Hansell who also questioned the policy.
The next meeting has been rescheduled for June 24.
