The winning points came on a 27-yard field goal by Collin Binford with just four second remaining in overtime.
Troy scored first on a Clark Jackson run from 33 yards out. Collin Binford hit the extra point.
After a Cowanesque score, Troy responded with a nice drive with most of the yardage coming through the air, but the points were scored by Tristen Drake on a one yard run. Binford's kick was good and Troy led 14-6.
Clark Jackson added a three-yard touchdown run and Troy led 20-6. but Cowanesque trimmed the lead with a score on the final play of the first half to make it 20-12.
In the third period, the hosts scored on a TD pass and a two-point conversion to tie the score at 20-all.

Troy fought back with a five-yard touchdown run by Tristen Drake to make the score 32-28 at the 4:39 mark in the fourth period.
Cowanesque looked to have put the game away with a touchdown pass with just 32 second left in the game. The conversion try was no good and the Indians led 34-32.
Kurtis Roupp returned the kickoff to the Cowanesque 35, and then a ten-yard pass play from Clark Jackson to Nate Swain and then Jackson ran the ball to the 10-yard line. Collin Binford then nailed the field goal try and Troy had a 35-34 victory.
Earlier in the day, Binford tallied four goals in the Troy boys soccer team's 7-1 win over Sayre.
