The Troy baseball team topped their friendly rivals from Canton 12-8 on April 24.
Four runs in the top of the seventh inning broke a 8-8 tie and provided the winning margin.
Kyle Jackson started on the hill for Troy. He was reached for six runs in the innings. He gave up only three hits but walked six batters. Chance Lantz worked a third of an inning. Mitchell Morse pitched two and a third and gave up two runs.
Isaac Havens finished up, working an inning and two thirds.
Brendan Landis started for Canton. He pitched two innings and gave up five hits and four runs. John Bowman surrendered two runs in an inning. He struck out three batters but gave up three hits. Seth Robbins worked an inning and gave up a run. Mason Martell gave up five runs in three innings.
For Troy, Brock Schucker doubled twice, scored a run and drove in three.

The Troy baseball team completed a season sweep over Canton, winning a high-scoring affair on April 30 by a 14-13 mark in extra innings.
Troy used four pitchers. Kyle Schucker started and worked the first three innings. Mitchell Morse, Isaacs Havens and Jarrod Mattocks also pitched for Troy.
Canton starter Mason Martell also pitched three innings and the Warriors also used three relievers: Trevor Route, Brendon Landis and Clayton Tymeson.
The winning run scored when Isaac Havens slapped a leadoff triple in the eighth. Canton loaded the bases with two intentional walks, setting up a force at any base, but Nick Stephani wrecked the strategy by knocking a base hit to drive in the winning run.
