Warriors Lose In Extra Innings
The Canton Warrior baseball team lost to Athens 5-2 in eight innings on April 22.
Canton tied the score at 2-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Athens finally broke the tie with three runs in the top of the eighth and held the Warriors in the bottom of the inning.
Brandon Landis started for Canton, working three innings. He was reached for two runs, one of which was unearned, two hits and a walk. He struck out two. Clayton Tymeson pitched five innings and was charged with the loss. He also struck out two but gave up three runs (only one earned) while surrendering three hits and three walks.
Canton's runs were scored by Trevor Route and Travis Butcher.
Route had a single and Tyler Cole had two. John Bowman drove in a run.

The Troy baseball team out powered Cowanesque on April 25 by a score of 25 to 12.
