The Troy football team staged on of the most remarkable second half rallies in recent years when they spotted the host Black Knights a 21-0 halftime lead, then stormed to an overpowering second half and shattered Towanda's hopes, 43-28.
North Penn's football team was enjoying an undefeated season at 7-0, but those dreams were shattered on their visit to Canton's Miller A. Moyer Field on October 17, when the Warriors won an exciting, dramatic contest in the fi nal minute, with Trevor Route's extra point the difference in a 37-36 win.
The Canton volleyball team defeated Sayre in straight sets on September 25 by scores of 25- 12, 25-17 and 25-18. Canton took the JV match 26-24, 25-19. Jess Kelley and Abi Martin each scored ten points for Canton.
The Troy girls soccer team overpowered Sayre 9-1 on September 16. Brooke Mattocks scored four goals for the Lady Trojans. Faith Ceely scored three times and Brooke Ward had two goals. Troy keeper Taylor Johnston made seven saves. Troy led in shots 22-15. Sayre had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
