Robert was born June 25, 1945 in Troy, PA to Hall and Mary Esaias.
He graduated from Troy High School in June 1963 and joined the U.S. Air Force in November of 1963. This was his first time away from the dairy farm and led to a long career, which took him to 15 different bases before retiring on January 1, 1985 from Malmstrom Air Force Base, in Great Falls, Montana.
He moved to Minot, ND and worked as the Cable TV Chief Tech until 1989. Robert then moved back to Canton, and bought his grandfather’s farm. He remained in Pennsylvania until July of 2010, then returned to Montana, which was one of his most loved locations.
During his life he was involved in the Boy Scouts as a Weeblo Leader and enjoyed coaching T-Ball. He loved hunting and fishing, but spent every minute possible with his family first.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Hall and Mary Esaias; brother, William Esaias; and sister, Nancy Hardaway.
He married Melody (Mickey) Lundberg in 1966 and was a very proud father of children; Sean (Tamie) Esaias, Robert (Jamie) Esaias and Kasey Esaias. He was further blessed with grandchildren; (Sean) Ashley, Jason, and Erica, all in PA, (Robert) Ashley Waters (Baxter) in Saco, MT, Kaitlynn, Dylan and Seth, all in Saint Marie, MT. To further add to his blessings, he had great grandsons; Tucker and Owen Waters, Saco, MT, Connor Esaias, Saint Marie, MT, and Malachi Esaias, Troy, PA, with 2 more coming in the new-year. Also surviving are brother, Dale Esaias of PA and sister Claudia Kreider of Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were Nov. 4, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glasgow, Mt. Interment was in Choteau, MT.
