Naomi Jean Pepper

  Naomi Jean Pepper, 81, of Monroeton, Pa. (Franklin Township) passed away peacefully on Mar. 3, 2019 at home, while surrounded by her loving family.
  Born in Towanda, Pa. on April 13, 1937, Naomi was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Kirkendall) Kuhnle.  She was a graduate of Towanda High School, class of 1954. On December 20, 1963 she married Duane Pepper in the Mountain Lake United Methodist Church, they shared 55 wonderful years together.  Naomi enjoyed reading, bird watching, working in her beautiful flower gardens and her many feline friends.
​   In earlier years, she assisted with the daily operations of the Pepper’s Dairy. Naomi later worked as a Bookkeeper/Notary for Pepper’s Auto Body Shop, R&R Lawrence Trucking, Ferrario’s Auto Dealership and Moore’s Auto both in Wysox until her retirement. She served as a former secretary/treasurer at Iona Grange in Fanklindale and was a member of the former Mountain Lake United Methodist Church.
  In addition to her husband, Duane Pepper, Naomi is survived by her two sons, Russell (Nancy) Lawrence, Ronald (Jackie) all of Monroeton, two sisters, Edith Darrow of Troy, Donna Madigan of Towanda, granddaughter, Jill (Shawn) Johnson of Monroeton, two great grandchildren, Michael and Jenna Johnson both of Monroeton as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 In addition to her parents, Naomi was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth & Oliver Lutz, two brothers-in-law, Paul Darrow, Charles Madigan and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Lawrence and a great grandson Aaron Michael.
 A private memorial service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
