While working as a nurses aide she met a "handsome patient" who would become her husband of 61 years. Moving to Hialeah, Florida with her mother & step father she worked at St Francis Hospital on
Allison Island off Miami Beach.
Wilfred pursued this pretty young lady with a Christmas card and love letters were exchanged. They were married in Hialeah on Aug 13, 1952, first living in Troy, PA and then settling on their farm on Armenia Mt, Bradford County PA. In 1960 they built a house on Minnequa Rd and there raised 5 wonderful children.

Jane had a beautiful voice and love of music which all of her children inherited.
