      Marjorie Jean Renzo, 80, Troy, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 with her beloved family at her side.
     Born on September 20, 1935 in Troy, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Francis and Lulu (Coakley) Wilcox.  She married James D. Renzo on September 22, 1956.  They shared nearly 60 years together and were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Roy A. Hemenway

     Roy A. Hemenway, 82,  Wellsboro, passed away July 28, 2016, at DarWay Nursing Home, Forksville.
    He was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Grover, the son of Hess and Rosemary Wright Hemenway.
    Roy was a retired carpenter and a United States Army veteran. He attended the Cherry Flats Baptist Church, served as a Red Cross Instructor and was a member of the Wellsboro Fire Department, where he volunteered as an ambulance driver for 34 years.

Phyllis R. Patten

     Phyllis R. Patten, 88, a highly respected community member of 10 William St. Towanda, PA passed away Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Guthrie Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA.
    Phyllis was born at home in Herrickville, PA on January 27, 1928 the daughter of Thomas D. and Ruth Robinson Reinhart. She was a graduate of Camptown High School class of 1945 and in early years was employed by E.I. DuPont in Towanda and by Claverack in Wysox. On August 14, 1954 Phyllis married Stanley Hancock Patten. Phyllis and Stanley enjoyed spending their summer months at their home on Bear Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, NH for many years. Phyllis was very active in community affairs having held membership and offices in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of Eastern Star, Towanda Garden Club, Bradford-Sullivan Counties Lions Eye Bank, Quarry Glen Club, Wednesday Club, Sheshequin Book Club, Red Hats, Camptown Alumni Association as well as supportive involvement in numerous community events. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Towanda.

Virginia Pauline Stanton Hough

     Virginia Pauline (Stanton) Hough, 99, of Troy,  passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of Lynwood who passed away April 29, 1975.
    Virginia was born on December 27, 1916 in Troy,  daughter of the late S. Eugene Stanton and Matie (Marshall) Stanton Newell.  
    She was a 1934 graduate of Troy High School and 1941 graduate of Mansfield Teachers College.  Her teaching career took her from Sayre, to Sunbury,  then back home to Troy Area School District where she taught at several of the elementary schools.  It was said that the Granville Elementary building, where Twin Oaks Personal Care Home is today, was built especially for her. Virginia retired as Lead Teacher in 1975 after 34 years of service.   Virginia was a life member of First Presbyterian Church of Troy and was their oldest member. She had several other memberships including First Presbyterian’s Ladies Auxiliary, Troy American Legion Auxiliary, Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary, Troy Area School District Foundation, Thursday Study Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Pennsylvania Retirement System, and Bradford County Heritage Association/Farm Museum.  Virginia was a generous supporter of many non-profit organizations.

   George O. Stage, 24, of Mansfield, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his home.  
    He was born April 19, 1992 in Wellsboro,  a son of George O. and Diana (Leonard) Stage.          George was married to Ashley (Lee) Stage.  He was employed by Oak Hill Veneer.  George enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his daughters, hiking, gardening, working on the “beast”, and tinkering with engines.
     He is survived by his parents, George and Diana Stage, Mansfield; wife, Ashley, Mansfield; two daughters, Abygail and Vanessa both of Mansfield; sister, Samantha (Justice Reber) Stage, Mansfield.

Delores E. Forman

     On the evening of Sunday, July 24th, 2016, Dolores E. Forman, formerly of Plymouth, Pa.,  passed away at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Memorial Hospital in Towanda.  She was 88 years of age.  
    Born in Plymouth on October 10th 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Stella Suda, and wife of the late Jack Forman.
      She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Plymouth and was well known for having a special place in her heart for homeless animals.
     Dolores is survived by her son, John (& Maureen) Forman, Plymouth; daughter Joanne (& Mick) O'Hara, Canton and granddaughter Grace O'Hara.
     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Alice Fretita and Barbara Martin, and husband Jack Forman.

Edna L. Clark Guthrie

     Edna L. (Clark) Guthrie, 82, of Springfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.  She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth L. Guthrie who passed away January 3, 2011.  The couple married July 3, 1954 and had 55 ½ years together.  
    Edna was born on April 5, 1934 in Springfield, daughter of the late Vern L. and Anna (Williams) Clark.  She was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1953 and was instrumental in the planning of the class reunions.  Edna was a member of the Leona United Methodist Church, prepared the bulletins for Sunday’s services, and was seen working at every church function.  She was a member of the Springfield Ladies Aide, was a board member of Grover Hill Cemetery Association, was on the election board for Springfield Township, and was a member of the Thursday Night Woman’s Bowling League at Terrace Lanes.  Edna enjoyed traveling and many remember her chaperoning the Troy High School Band trips.  In her spare time, Edna enjoyed watching birds, gardening, and cooking.
    Edna is survived by her children, Aaron (Karen) Guthrie of Litchfield, PA, and Karen (Joe) Zug of West Chester, PA, her grandchildren, Clayton and Jacob Zug, Alyssa and Kendra Guthrie, her sister Betty Brown of Troy, PA, brother-in-law Clarence "Ozzie" (Sally) Guthrie, her sisters-in-law Cheryl Guthrie of Big Pond and Lois Clark of Springfield, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ken, her brother Robert Clark, her sister Eleanor Clark, and brother-in-law Tom Guthrie.

     Thomas Charles Aldrich, 63, of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Wednesday evening, July 20, 2016.
  Thomas was born on September 26, 1952 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Dr. Stephen Aldrich and Dolores (Bunell) Aldrich, formerly of Kensington, MD and his late stepmother, Betty (Sangston) Aldrich.
  Tom was a kind and gentle person, well liked and respected by everyone who knew him.  During his life, Tom loved nature.  He worked or volunteered anywhere that brought him closest to what he cherished most, including Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring and the National Zoo in Washington, DC.  Tom appreciated the beauty of flowers, especially orchids, and the fascinating nature of the cheetah.  When diagnosed with cancer, he maintained his positive outlook and was an inspiration to many.

      Surviving are two sisters, Anne Machmer of Canton, PA and Catherine Abramson of Sugar Hill, GA; a niece, Jennifer Abramson (John Ulbrich) of Avon, CO; special cousins, Lyn Dahl of Manasota Key, FL and Barb (Gordy) Roberts of LaCrosse, WI.  A special thanks go to the Affiliated Sante Group of Silver Spring for their care and support of Tom throughout his life and especially during his illness.
  Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Those who wish may consider a memorial to the Affiliated Sante Group, 12200 Tech Rd. Suite 330 Silver Spring, MD 20904 or to Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ), membership Dept. P.O.
