John Caseman

John Caseman, 50,  Columbia Cross Roads, passed away while surrounded by his family on Thursday morning, April 28, 2016, at the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital following a brief but courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme, GBM, an aggressive brain cancer.
    John Elwin was born September 20, 1965 in Troy.  He was the beloved only son of Elwin “Skip” and Leatrice “Cookie” (Spencer) Caseman of Columbia Cross Roads.  
    John was a 1984 graduate of Canton High School.  He worked for Canton’s Canford Manufacturing for 28 years before most recently driving truck for H. Rockwell and Sons Feed Mill; a position that he loved.
    John was an avid hunter and member of the NRA.  He was partial to John Deere Tractors and was a member of the Endless Mountains Antique Tractor and Machinery Assoc.   A huge NASCAR fan, John supported Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He also enjoyed many camping trips to Penn’s Cave and to Benezette, PA to watch the elk.

Patricia "Patty" Jane (Mason) Reynolds

Patricia "Patty" Jane (Mason) Reynolds, 76, passed away on April 27, 2016 at home with her daughters, after days of being surrounded by friends and family.
    She was born December 12, 1939 in East Canton, daughter of E. Lloyd and Frances (Van Fleet) Mason.  She was raised and educated in East Canton, where she was head of her class (of 3) at East Canton Elementary; that year the school closed.  
 Her greatest experience was winning a regional science fair in high school which was her first venture out of state to Oklahoma City.  She graduated Canton High School in 1957.  After high school she attended Goldey-Beacom College in Delaware.  Following school, she worked at Memorial Hospital where she met her future husband Leslie Reynolds.  Together they moved to Granby in 1966.  
    She was the Office Manager at Farmers Supply for many years. She was involved in 4-H, PM Club, was an active member of the Mary Mattoon Chapter of DAR, above all was dedicated to the Methodist Church of South Hadley serving on nearly every board throughout the years.

    Spending time with her family and grandchildren sharing her love of gardening, painting, knitting, sewing and crafting was what she enjoyed most. Her home was filled with toys and puzzles, which were not always for her grandchildren.
    She will be deeply missed by daughters, Heather Reynolds Labonte and husband David, Granby, Candice Reynolds, Clinton, MA and  stepson, Kevin Reynolds and wife Diana,  Ball Ground, GA; five precious grandchildren, Sophia, Spencer, Jessica, Robbie and Ashley.  
    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leslie S. Reynolds in 2010.          Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, 168 Industrial Dr. #1, Northampton, MA 01060 or the Memorial Fund at the Methodist Church of South Hadley, 30 Carew St., S. Darcy Luke Wilcox

    Darcy Luke Wilcox of Shelby, AL.  passed away Tuesday April 26, 2016 while surrounded by family at his home.. He was 54.
    Darcy was born December 21, 1961  in Sayre. He was the son of Robert and Marilyn (Greene) Wilcox of West Franklin. Darcy was raised on a horse farm in West Franklin PA. He graduated from the Towanda high School with the class of ’80. Darcy served in the Armed Forces.
    He worked for Main Line Heating & Air Conditioning Pelham, AL. for several years.  Darcy enjoyed going to Flea markets and Antique car shows. Riding his motorcycle on the back roads looking at the “lay of the land” was a favorite pastime.

Gerald E. Schmidt Sr.

   Gerald E. Schmidt Sr. died and became a resident of Heaven on April 22, 2016 at 9:36 pm MT in Colorado Springs, CO.
    Born March 24, 1941 at home in Highspire. He married the former Joyce A Nickle of Highspire June 17, 1961, and shared 54 years together. They raised two children.
    Most of his life was spent behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer. He spent most nights and weekends under the hood of a car doing repairs out of his garage while he was an employee of PennDOT as a diesel mechanic/supervisor.

Robert B. Walsh

     Robert B. Walsh  90, passed away peacefully at his family home that he cherished on April 22, 2016.
    Born Dec. 6, 1925 in Bentley Creek, PA; Robert was the son of the late, William & Helen Carroll Walsh.
     In service to his country, Bob served in the US Navy WWII. After which, he married Mary Jane Harkness on Aug. 14, 1948 and she predeceased him on Aug. 20, 2006. A vital part of his community, Bob operated Bob Walsh Garage for many years. He was also active at the Harkness Cemetery. He enjoyed family times at the family homestead.

Donna Jean Ball Holland

   Donna Jean Ball Holland, 53, Gillett, PA passed away Friday night, April 22, 2016 at her mother’s home surrounded by her loving family.
    She was born on March 21, 1963 in Scranton, PA the daughter of the late Floyd Ball, Jr., who passed away July 25, 1999, and Margaret J. Rought Ball of Wyalusing, PA. She attended Wyalusing and Towanda area schools while growing up.
    Donna was employed with Cargil (Taylor Packing) in Wyalusing and with R.G. Brown in Laceyville with her Uncle Jimmy by her side until she became a homemaker for her family in 2000.
    She enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting, and watching WWE wrestling. She loved country music especially listening to David Allan Coe. Donna was a very caring and loving person that had a heart of gold and she was always there if you needed her.

Shawn Howard Spencer

    Shawn Howard Spencer, 44, of Rome, PA, died Friday morning, April 22, 2016 following a motor vehicle accident in Angola, IN.
    Shawn was born on March 26, 1972 in Sayre, the son of Richard Spencer Sr. and Carrieann Fenton Spencer. He was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1992.
    Shawn began working on area dairy farms and later became employed as a truck driver, most recently by Todd Burguson Trucking of Arnot, PA. Shawn enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and demolition derby cars. He was a member of the Victory Church in Troy for a number of years.

Janet Marie Palmer Kelley

    Janet Marie (Palmer) Kelley passed away in her home after a long illness in Bolivar Missouri the morning of April 20th, 2016 at the age of 73.
    Janet is survived by her loving husband James B. Kelley. They were united in marriage 57 years ago on September 28th, 1958 in Bailey’s Corners Pennsylvania.
    Janet was born in Canton, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1942. She worked alongside of her husband in several businesses over the years including dairy farming, farm equipment, and real estate.
    Janet is lovingly remembered by her children;  daughter and her husband, Debbie and Robert Henley, Bristow VA, and son and his wife, Mike and Debbie Kelley, Pleasant Hope, MO; son in-law and daughter in-law from prior marriages; Richard Walter Jr. of NM, and Janice (Case) Kelley of Mo; three granddaughters; Jessica and her husband Jason Patterson of NC, Jennifer and her husband Andrew Reichert of VA, and Kathryn Henley of VA; four grandsons, Richard Walter III and his wife Christi of MO, Shawn and Joe Kelley of MO, and Nathan and his wife Katherine of Mo; six great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; sister in-laws, June Ross and Mary Lou Kelley of PA; brother in-law Robert Baker of PA, and a long list of relatives and very special friends.

Thomas Gerald Bayiates, 34, of Dedham, MA passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday April 20, 2016.
    Tommy was a licensed journeyman electrician with the IBEW Local 103 Boston.
    He is survived by his parents Andrew and Virginia (Sargeant) Bayiates, his sister Christine and her husband William Stec, his brother John and his wife Julie Bayiates all of Dedham and brother Edward and wife Elisa of Needham. Tommy is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Alexis, Benjamin, Dylan, Grace and Ryan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Harold Bronson

     Harold W. Bronson, age 68, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. The son of the late Alfred and Edna (Weaver) Bronson, he was born February 14, 1948 in Sayre.
 He was a kind soul, always doing for others. He could be found driving friends and acquaintances to doctor appointments and running errands. Harold enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved going to yard sales, collecting antiques, playing cards, and just spending time with family.
     After graduating from Towanda High School, Harold served in the United States Army and was stationed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Over the years, he worked for Kennedy Valve, Taylor & McCarty’s, and Masonite and was self-employed as a landscaper and groundskeeper.
