As part of the Bradford County Red Ribbon Campaign being held in Bradford County October 23rd – October 31st 2015, the Bradford County Communities That Care Coalition sponsored a Youth Leadership Summit at Towanda High School on Tuesday, October 27th . 140 students, teachers and volunteers came together to discuss the problems that youth in Bradford County see around them in their own schools.
Joe Markiewicz from Penn State Erie Campus, facilitated the meeting. He presented data from the 2013 cycle of the PA Youth Survey, which was taken by over 1700 youth in Bradford County. He highlighted several statistics about substance abuse, and risk and protective factors to help students understand how they can make a difference in their schools.

Unofficial election returns for Canton Borough Council races indicate that the four candidates on the ballot were elected. Incumbent Councilor Chris Thoren led with 192 votes; Paige VanRyn was elected with 158 votes; incumbent Ken Robertson had 143 and incumbent Alfonse Ciaccio had 134.
Write-in candidates Dave Larson and Rich Porter each had around 80 write-in votes.

Yet, we also find ourselves complaining about these same issues at one time or another. But if we just complain... what are we truly changing.

The Grover Church of Christ Players are hard at work on this 2015 episode of "Cricket County" Due to the playwright not producing a Christmas play for this year the group will present "SHAKESPEARE IN CRICKET COUNTY". The show will run December 11, 12 and 13, 2015 at 7:00 pm each evening.
