At the July 21 meeting of the Troy School Board, the minutes of the previous meetings, treasurer's report and cafeteria report were approved.
Reports were heard as follows:
Northern Tier Career Center - John Morgan noted that Heather McPherson will be the new superintendent of NTCC. Also that director, Elizabeth Franhouser will be resigning and currently they are seeking a new director.
Federal Programs – Steve Brion said, "We have filed for the program. Just waiting to hear."
Primary School Report - Steve Brion reported work on scheduling. He did note that the building was looking good and sealant has been applied to the driveway.

Intermediate School Report – Rebecca Stanfield noted that the building was getting into good shape and class scheduling is being completed.
Junior/Senior High School Report – Sue Shipman reported the carpets are done in the high school, the sealant completed on parking lots; and it is the third week of summer school. "We had seven students taking this program this summer."
Superintendent Charles Young reported, "As you probably know there is still no state budget, so we wait." He also noted that the Sec. of Education reported that the PSSA scores are lower this year, all around. It was due to the harder testing and was expected.

Justin Fitzwater - Assistant Boys’ Soccer Coach
Brian Canfield - Head Girls’ Softball Coach

These adminstrative changes were approved: Mary Abreu is now the Intermediate School Principal
Elizabeth Elliott will Assist with PIMS Administration/Child Accounting/Transportation - 2015/16 School year Only with a stipend.

Todd Curren, chairman of the Buildngs and Grounds, asked for approval of a 3-year contract with McClure Company for preventative maintenance on building environmental systems at a cost of $ 43,228.00. It was approved.
A motion to approve Evie Cryan as summer school aide, not to exceed 56 hours, was approved.
A motion to accept a $500 donation from the PA Farm Bureau to be used towards the Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab was approved.

Mrs. Shipman was asked to present the scheduling for the driver-ed simulator. She distributed papers featuring the times and personal being used. She also said that Mr. Skipper, who teaches driver ed, will conduct a survey of each student to see how the class can be more effective.
The PSBA is holding a conference and Mrs Gilliland asked if any board member might be interested in attending. The district gets 2 voting delegates. It will be held on Oct 13 in Hershey.
