
Stu was born July 12, 1924 in West Burlington son of the late Leon and Rossa (VanNoy) Bristol.
He was a graduate of Troy High School and participated in FFA and sports in his school years. Stu was married to the former Mildred “Millie” M. Mason on January 12, 1956 and they had just celebrated 60 years together. He was hard working family man, a dairy farmer and also was the proprietor of Bristol’s Fruit Stand. He loved farming, gardening, going to get peaches.
His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, hunting and sharing his many hunting stories. He was proud to know that his family business will be carried on by his grandson and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and customers.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Mildred “Millie” Bristol, Troy, children, Jack Bristol, Troy, Calvin Bristol, Troy, Laura Mae (Dale) Jackson, Ogdensburg, Marjorie (Mike) Harris, Troy, Steven Bristol, Tioga, Rossa (Chris) Kruger, Port Orange, FL; sisters Betty Fitzwater, Canandaigua, NY, Bernice Chamberlin of FL; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM to 1 PM, April 7, at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. Stu’s funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 PM.
Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA.
