Leo was a 1960 graduate of Troy High School. After graduating he worked on his family’s dairy farm and eventually went on to be self-employed as a carpenter until his retirement in 2013. He was always known to be a “jack of all trades” and an avid outdoorsman. He was a dedicated hunter and trapper and took eight black bears in his lifetime. Leo also enjoyed fishing and digging ginseng. On Apr. 26, 1976 he married the former Sandra Mattocks in Troy, Pa., together sharing 42 years of loving marriage.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton, with the funeral service at 1 p.m.
