
Jim was born on September 10, 1937 in Columbia Cross Roads, PA, son of the late Charles W. and Kathryn (Seymour) McKerrow.
He was a 1956 Troy High School graduate and attended technical school in Williamsport. Jim started his career as a Draftsman for General Electric where he worked on military aircraft, later became a self-employed carpenter, and ended his career as the Head of Maintenance for Glove House in Elmira.
He attended Bakerburg Community Church, was a member of the Troy Rod & Gun Club where he served on the Board of Directors and was Treasurer for 4 years, was a member of a local 500 card club and the McDonald’s Morning Coffee Club.
Jim loved the fine arts, especially painting, and served on the Fine Arts Council of Troy. He also enjoyed woodworking, listening to Country and Western music, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Charles, Arnold, and Ernest.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00 am-12:00 noon on Thursday, June 15, at the Bakerburg Community Church 197 Gray Valley Rd, Mainesburg, PA. The funeral service to honor Jim’s life will be held at noon on Thursday, June 15th at the church with Pastors Paul Binkley and David Dressler officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
