Liz was born on August 26, 1964 in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Elizabeth M. (Wilson) Parks. Liz was a graduate of SRU High School, East Smithfield, class of 1982. She later went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mansfield University, graduating in 1986. She married Scott E. Horton on May 27, 1997 in Campbell, NY.
She was employed by Eaton Cutler-Hammer of Horseheads, NY as an Industrial Technician. Liz was an avid pet lover, taking in many rescue dogs to her home. She enjoyed reading – often reading books about animals, historical fiction, spirituality and love. Her greatest joy came from spending quality time at home with her family. She has gone to join her grandmother, Mable in heaven. She leaves behind her precious little dog, Butch. Her family will remember her as an amazing, kind hearted, hard-working and happy wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt and friend who always brought a smile to everyone's face.

Horton, Painted Post; son, Matthew Horton, Painted Post, NY; daughter, Alicia Horton, Painted Post, NY; mother and step-father: Elizabeth M. and Douglas Wolfe, Lowman, NY; sisters: Dianne (Nathan) Lee, Troy, Rebecca Haflett, Lowman, NY, Anita (Bob) Davis of Troy, Fay Wanck of Sayre, and brother: Joe (Teresa) Parks, East Smithfield; mother-in-law, Kay (Pete Crane) Horton, Painted Post, NY; brothers-in-law: Randy (Kathy) Horton of Johnson City, NY, David (Sarah Miles) Horton of Addison, NY; sisters-in-law: Linda Horton, Campbell, NY, Cheryl Clark, Beaver Dams, NY; aunt, May McLaughlin of Spencer, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, Liz was predeceased by; grandpa, Harold Wilson; uncle, Don McLaughlin; father-in-law, Norman Horton; and brother-in-law, Joseph Clark.
A funeral service was held on May 1, 2015 at the Phillips Funeral Home, Corning, NY
Burial will take place in the family plot at Maltby Cemetery in Monterey, NY.
